A dark comedy that hopes to make life's one inevitability a little less threatening.
When you’ve had someone very close to you die before their time, as my family has, talking openly about death is not just a coping mechanism, it’s a muscle.
My brother committed suicide when I was 15, both my parents are openly discussing topping themselves, and my sister has an auto immune disease that traps her in a hyper vigilant stand off with death all the way down to her white cells. We’ve lived through the deaths of all my grandparents and a veritable zoo of family pets including one black axolotl named Barry White.
This is a collection of stories about grief, resilience, and body disposal, as seen through the lens of my family (well, those that are left).
